The Queens of Mzansi Today Monday 15 August 2022 on SABC1 21h00 Reality show featuring five single black women who have been tried and tested in life but still rise to wear their crowns with pride.
The Queens of Mzansi face hardships from gender-based violence to divorce, financial difficulties and being widowed.
That is what makes them Queens – they all had a rebirth and have found their voices and crowns again.
The weekly topics range from new romantic relationships and balancing being single moms to managing their businesses and relationships as a group.
The “queens” are:
Samkelisiwe (Samke) Mhlongo (35)
A divorced mother of two from KwaZulu-Natal
Lucky Mthembu (30)
Miss S.A Teen 2009 and mother to a 2-year-old who was engaged to someone with a personality disorder.
Paloma (Lolo) Mlunjwana
A 35-year-old who hails from Zimbabwe who met her first “sugar daddy” on sugardaddy.com – a multi-millionaire who “helped her elevate her life”.
Siphelele Petunia Makhanya
A 38-year-old widow and mother to an 8-year-old girl, from Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal.
A 40-year-old businesswoman and a mother of two boys aged 18 and 8. At 24, she divorced her first husband and began investing in property in Dubai.
